My phone rings, naturally I pick it up to see who's calling. Sam W.
I open the phone and press it to my ear.
"Hey Lora." Sam says. I can feel a summoning charm happening if I don't visit
them.
"What do you want Sam?" I snap, not meaning to be rude.
"We're on a case and need some help." Is all he says.
"Go visit my dad." I reply.
"We're at his." I hang up, sigh, close my eyes and snap my fingers. When I
open my eyes I'm greeted by Sam, Dean and my father all sat on various chairs
facing towards me. I turn my head slightly to the right to see Cas standing
against the fridge in the kitchen, arms crossed. "Hey Lora." Sam says after an
awkward silence. I smile although I'm still confused as to why I'm here.
"You said you needed help with a case." I say accusingly to Sam. Dean gets up
from his chair and slowly walks towards the fridge. I watch him as a rug appears
right in front of him and he trips. He pulls Cas down with him and for some
reason he punches Cas. He stands up and grabs a beer. He heads back to his
chair. Dean sighs opening his beer and taking a swig. "When did you get a rug in
your kitchen Bobby?" He says changing the subject.
"Never." They all look at me as Bobby says this.
"You're going to pin this on me?" Sam shakes his head trying to hold back the
rest of the piled up laughter inside of him. "So for Dean's sake lets change the
subject. Why did you call me here?"
"Help us get inside the actors studio." Dean says, demanding. I roll my eyes
and walk over to Dean. I tap him lightly on the head and watch as he disappears.
I look to see if Sam is still here but he isn't. Neither is Cas. I smile at my
dad before snapping my fingers and landing next to Cas. He turns towards me.
"I missed you, you scary, scary angel." I smile to him. He awkwardly smiles
back before pulling me into a hug. I hug him tightly until Dean taps my
shoulder. I pull away turn towards Dean and I notice Cas is gone. "Lets do
this." I say. I follow Sam as Dean heads off in a different direction.
"Where have you been? You've been missing for two months. Today was the first
time you even answered a phone. Even then you act so casual." He says.
"I was busy." Yeah busy. Like Sam's going to fall for that. I can tell he
doesn't believe this but he doesn't press it. I nudge him in the ribs. He turns
to me angrily. I point towards a closed door. I take the lead and try the
handle. Locked. Sam lifts his hand up and reaches towards my head. I glare at
him. He pulls a hairpin out of my hair. He goes to put the pin in the lock but
it disappears. Sam gives me a confused look but I push him out the way and kick
the door. It flies open. Cas and Dean are fighting. Dean shoves out of the
cupboard like room and Cas follows, cooly. I shake my head and walk away
slowly. I feel something grip my arm. I turn round pulling away. Cas looks at me
whilst his grip gets tighter and tighter. "Cas." I say, demons don't get hurt
easily but angels are really strong. He looks down at my arm and lets go. We
stand here awkwardly looking at each other not sure of what to do. Then suddenly
it hits me. Pushing Dean and Cas apart. Gabriel. It can't be.
"Gabriel." I say. The realisation smacks Cas in the face as his awkward
expression fades and an agreeing one takes its place. "We need to summon
Gabriel."
"The arch angel?" Sam says. I nod as I tap his shoulder lightly and we re
appear in Bobby's scrap yard. Sam runs inside to grab what he needs for the
summoning and waits. Dean and Cas appear one on each side of me. "Ready?" Sam
asks. We all nod. Sam drops the match onto the ground lighting up the intricate
pattern. He mutters the arch angels name. A doubled over figure appears.
"Really?" He says straightening up and looking at us each in turn. "Ah, Lora.
I have news for you." He says. I make a disgusted face at him. He speaks anyway.
"You're part of a prophecy. A pretty important one too." Prophecy? "You know the
one they teach in Demon 'Bible' school? The angel and the demon, betraying their
own sides and creating a dangerous creature." My eyes widen.
"Oh God tell me you know who the angel is? I set you that task weeks ago." I
know I'm the demon part of this. I just need to know who the angel is. The
others are staring at me and Gabriel. "You might want to sort these three out
first." I say. Dean screams at him about leaving Cas and him alone.
"I'll make you a deal." Gabriel suggests. Dean looks intrigued. I grab his
arm.
"Dean, careful." I say. He turns to me, nodding he turns back to Gabriel.
"I'll leave you and Castiel here alone if you make Lora keep to the
prophecy." My eyes widen again.
"Tell me who the angel is first." Sam snaps. I look at Sam curious as to why
he cares.
"I'll tell you the names." Gabriel replies. Names. Plural.
Names.
"What do you mean names?" I stress the s.
"There are three possible angels that fit the part. You're allowed to pick."
Gabriel uses the awkward silence to carry on. "Balthazar, Raphael or my personal
favourite, Castiel." I don't take in what he says right away. The names ring in
my head. Balthazar. Raphael. Castiel. I can't get them out of my head.
"Right, is it a deal then my boys?" He says turning towards the others.
"It's up to Lora, really." Says Dean. Cas is too shocked to move. I nod.
"Go for it." I say. I don't care really, I'm not going to do this prophecy
thing anyway.
"Deal." Sam says. "Uhh how do Arch Angels seal deals?" He asks nervously.
"Sweetie, I'll seal your deal for you." I say, as a cross roads demon.
"Yes let the cross roads demon seal your deal. Come here then." Gabriel
snaps. I walk over to him, step around the patterend flame and kiss Gabriel. I
pull away and he disappears, the flames put themselves out. I turn back towards
the others.
"Is Cas alive? You know, as alive as angels get?" Sam asks turning towards
him. I shrug as Dean smacks his back. Cas blinks before leaving, a nervous and
scared look on his face.
"I guess the news hit him hard. Not like I'm going to pick him though." Dean
stares at me. "I'm not picking any of them. Forget prophecies." I yell walking
away. I'm about to disappear when I hear a scream. Not Dean. It's Sam. I spin
round to find a demon holding a knife to Dean's neck and Sam's being cut. I
start walking back towards them. I'm stopped for some reason. I look down, then
back up again to see Crowley. "Damn you Crowley!" I yell.
"Is that how kids are greeting each other these days?" He says calmly.
"Anyway, I'm not here for chit-chat, I'm here about the prophecy. I want to know
which angel you're picking and I want the child. It's the ultimate weapon." I
roll my eyes.
"Does anyone care about what I think?!" I scream. "Let these two go and I'll
discuss."
"Fine." He snaps his fingers and the demons holding them disappear.
"Now lets go somewhere more private." I say as calmly and nicely as
I can manage. Crowley rolls his eyes and snaps his fingers again. We're in a
junkyard but there's no one about.
"You're already pregnant, aren't you?" Crowley asks smiling. I shake my head.
The smile is wiped off his face.
"Can I go?" I ask trying not to laugh at how pathetic he looks. He nods, I
snap my fingers and I'm in the scrapyard of my dad's house. Sam and Dean run out
towards me.
"Lora, are you ok?" Dean asks, Sam goes stiff. He just stands staring at me.
"Yeah why?" I ask. I turn my head slightly to the left to look at Sam. Dean
turns towards him.
"Sam go inside and get Bobby, you just stay inside." Dean says calmly. It
takes Dean elbowing Sam for Sam to actually run back into the house.
"Dean serious..." I'm about to carry on until I feel the stabbing pain in my
chest. I look down slightly, I'm bleeding. I feel another stabbing pain in my
back. My back arches and I collapse onto my back. I'm shaking and I can't move.
Dean can seem to get to me. There's some sort of shield. I scream in agony as
more of the stabbing pains occur around my body. Dean is joined by Sam and
Bobby. They're slamming on the shield thing. Suddenly it stops. The shield seems
to disappear. I struggle to keep my eyes open but manage to long enough to see
Castiel tap the others, they disappear and he heads for me. I can't keep my eyes
open long enough to see anything else.
